Post Should Toolbox Upgrade To Medium RP?
Topic : Should Toolbox upgrade to Medium RP?

I have spoken to one other person about this and we both support the idea of boosting the RP level to Medium.

Of course we'll still be welcoming to the new members to our community as we always have been if this becomes a valid suggestion.

Post Re: Should Toolbox Upgrade To Medium RP?
While this is something the community is free to discuss, and something I would like to hear other opinions about it is something that I am not willing to change. I would also prefer we talk about specific changes to the ruleset. 'Medium RP' is not very specific. Here are my opinions on the matter:

-Security is already expected to more or less act on a Medium RP standard. It's unusual for space law to be mandatory for light RP servers.

-Antagonist freedom is something that will never change. Antags will always have full free reign IC. However, antag rounds will be rare until we get a stronger playerbase. If we can have >20 players at most hours they will most definitely become the norm. We will however experiment with the antag ratios to see what suits us.

-Greytiding is worth discussing about. In my opinion however, as long as you're not removing someone from the round you should be okay. I'm not in favor of slow-paced, no-action roleplay the likes of bay. I also prefer minimal admin interference, and simple rules that are easy to judge in a "black and white" style. It feels very suffocating, like being a bull in a china shop when admins constantly monitor and micromanage player RP to make sure no one punched someone or stole something. Of these three points, this is the one that I am most open to change about. Should I get the impression the community would benefit from such a change, I will investigate this matter independently. The majority is usually silent, doesn't use the forums and don't express themselves unless asked explicitly.
